You can’t go wrong when you go with Lori. She has a lot of great experience and qualifications, and a fierce passion for what she does to go with it. During my birthing experience, my birth plan slowly fell apart piece by piece throughout the long day spent laboring. Lori played a crucial role in both advocating for me and my birth plan and supporting me when I changed my birth plan in significant ways. Lori’s presence throughout my birth experience was critical for taking in and processing information from the hospital care team. She caught details we didn’t, and remembered important details which helped us make informed decisions along the way. She has thorough knowledge of the hospital setting, which brought me a lot of comfort over the two days I spent in the hospital before baby arrived. Furthermore, Lori naturally and infallibly struck the perfect balance between being present, available, and ready to act and stepping back and blending into the background when the moment called for it. She was always right there when she was needed, which for me was a lot! In sum, Lori is a fierce advocate, a knowledgeable adviser, and one of the best partners you could ask for during your pregnancy, labor, and delivery journey. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

A real support for me and my ten pounds baby!

My partner and I decided to hire a birth doula for many reasons: this is our first baby, we are new in US and have nobody of our relatives to support us here. So, we needed a person who would be able to become almost “second family” for us. Lori was so professional, and the level of information she gave us just at our first meeting made us very comfortable with her. I strongly believe the method in which she prepared us for our desired birth plan helped us achieve it. Lori came to our house at certain days prior to my due date, fully explaining how the birth could go and it helped me really visualize what I would be going through. I was prepared and knew what to expect – I knew what my body would be doing and what would be normal in the weeks leading up to it. I was preparing for a natural birth and I really wanted and needed to understand my body to do it. Also having her available 24/7 to text or call with any random questions was very valuable. My pushing stage ran quite long, and I’m not sure what I would’ve done without her! She had me resting, got me moving, talked to me, sat with me, held my hand, assured my partner and helped him by suggesting different ways in which he could help me. Lori was ultra-reassuring and a blessing really, she was able to continue focusing on me and holding space for calmness, while my nurses had to complete their notes and charts and check me and my son’s medical status – they have an incredible amount of things to take care of, so having someone dedicated to just holding space for me and my emotions and well-being was beyond helpful. She visited us after the birth and answered any questions we had as new parents. We’re so happy we had Lori to help guide us through our whole journey, and I’d highly recommend her hands, heart and expertise to any expecting family!
